NIMET FORECASTS 3-DAY SUNSHINE, DUST HAZE

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunshine and dust haze from today to Wednesday across the nation.

The NiMet`s weather outlook released in Abuja anticipated sunny skies in the southern region with patches of clouds with prospects of afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

According to the statement, dust particles are in suspension and urged the public to take the necessary precaution, people with asthmatic health conditions and other respiratory issues should be cautious of the present weather condition.

It urged the public to take adequate precaution as strong winds might precede the rains in areas where thunderstorms were likely to occur.

“Adhere to safety advisories issued by relevant authorities. Airline operators are advised to get airport-specific weather reports (flight documentation) from NiMet for effective planning in their operations.
