The Oyo State government has approved the recruitment of 791 officers of various cadres into the state’s civil service.
The Chairman of the Oyo State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamoru Aderibigbe, made this known in a statement issued on Wednesday in Ibadan.
Aderibigbe stated that the recruitment would include 230 education officers and 561 officers in various other departments within the civil service.
He added that the recruitment would target candidates specialising in 35 teaching subjects for the Ministry of Education-controlled schools and 45 different cadres within the core civil service.
To ensure due diligence, fairness, and equity in the recruitment process, Aderibigbe said that prospective applicants would be required to apply through the state government’s job portal www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng from Monday, October 7, through Friday, October 11, 2024.
The statement noted that applicants for positions requiring a degree must be university graduates with a minimum of a second class lower division, while those applying for cadres requiring a Higher National Diploma certificate must be polytechnic graduates with a minimum of lower credit.
The chairman emphasised that the commission would ensure competence in the discharge of its duties without political interference.
