Nigeria’s manufacturers are counting their losses to the drastic macroeconomic changes being executed by the Federal Government. A key element of the difficulties has shown up in cost of sales with leading manufacturers reporting 90.6 per cent surge in their just released 2024 financial results. The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has confirmed that the state recorded 10 cases of diphtheria between January 1 and March 27, 2025. Myanmar’s ruling junta has declared a week of national mourning on Monday for victims of the country’s devastating earthquake, which has killed more than 1,700 people. The official mourning period runs until April 6, the junta said in a statement, with national flags to fly at half-mast.
