IBADAN AIRPORT TO COMPETE WITH LAGOS AIRPORT UPON UPGRADE – MAKINDE

The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has said that the upgrade of Ibadan Airport to international standard and the Ibadan Circular Road projects are dear to his government and quite important for the expansion of the state’s economy. He promised to deliver part of the airport project and the 32km East Wing segment of the Ibadan Circular Road in the current year. Governor Makinde stated this at the 2025 Thanksgiving Service of a Christian worship centre in Ibadan.

WAEC INTRODUCES RESIT EXAMINATIONS

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC, has introduced resit examinations for candidates. The Head of Public Affairs at WAEC, John Kapi, confirmed the development and said the new initiative will allow students to resit their West African Senior Secondary Examinations papers as early as January and February 2025. He added that students whose results have been cancelled are also eligible to sit for the examination, provided they have not been banned for some years for malpractice.
