Cristiano Ronaldo Jr has received his first call-up to Portugal’s Under-17 national team ahead of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying matches.
The 16-year-old forward, popularly known as Cristianinho, was named in head coach Filipe Ramos’ 23-man squad for the qualifiers scheduled to take place this month.
Ronaldo Jr, who plays for the youth academy of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, previously represented Portugal at Under-15 and Under-16 levels.
He made his international debut for Portugal’s Under-15 team in May 2025 before progressing to the Under-16 side, where he scored three goals in nine appearances.
Portugal will face Andorra, Bulgaria and Serbia in the upcoming Under-17 qualifying matches.
