NSCDC Arrests Four Suspected Drug Dealers in Kano

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, have arrested four suspected illicit drug dealers in Gaida, Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

The suspects were arrested during a covert operation by the NSCDC Counter Terrorism Unit following credible intelligence.

The suspects were identified as Abubakar Abdullahi, 35; Rabiu Baffa, 25; Aminu Lawan, 35; and Ibrahim Idris, 33.

Items recovered from them included Pregabalin capsules, Diazepam tablets, Oshin Solution and parcels of suspected cannabis.

The NSCDC State Commandant, Mohammed Agalama, warned youths and members of the public against the illegal sale and abuse of illicit drugs.

He said the suspects and recovered items would be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and possible prosecution.

The command also urged members of the public to provide credible information on suspected drug-related activities to security agencies.
