Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the deployment of Commissioners of Police to eight state commands and other strategic formations across the country.
The deployments were approved by the Police Service Commission following recommendations by the IGP.
The Police Force said the move is aimed at strengthening operational effectiveness, improving leadership across commands and supporting ongoing reforms within the Force.
The affected state commands are Abia, Plateau, Bayelsa, Anambra, Edo, Jigawa and Delta, alongside another deployment announced by the Force.
The Force Public Relations Officer, Iniedu Okokon, said the newly deployed senior officers had also been assigned to various strategic formations, including intelligence, criminal investigation, counter-terrorism, anti-human trafficking, training and administration.
Disu charged the affected officers to strengthen intelligence-led policing, improve operational effectiveness, promote professionalism and deepen engagement with communities.
He also urged them to remain committed to protecting lives and property while upholding discipline, accountability and effective service delivery.
The Nigeria Police Force said the deployments form part of its ongoing efforts to improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal capacity and deliver more effective policing services across the country.
