David Mark faction protests at Federal High Court.

Members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) led by David Mark on Monday staged a protest at the Federal High Court in Abuja, calling on the judiciary to remain impartial and resist any attempt to undermine opposition parties in the country.

The demonstrators gathered at the court premises amid the ongoing leadership dispute within the party involving the faction led by Nafiu Bala.

The protesters alleged that the legal action instituted by Bala is being used to distract the party and hinder its activities at a critical political period.

The leadership tussle has continued to generate controversy within the party, with both factions laying claim to its leadership structure.

The matter remains before the court as stakeholders await judicial determination on the dispute.
