I’m not a single mom – Annie Macaulay

Annie Macaulay-Idibia has clarified that she does not consider herself a single mother despite her separation from her estranged husband, 2Baba.

The Nollywood actress stated that she prefers to describe herself as a single woman raising two children rather than a single mother. In a post shared on her Instagram page, she wrote: “I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids.”

In late January 2025, 2Baba announced on Instagram that he and Annie were separating and that he had initiated divorce proceedings, noting that the marriage had not been working for a long time.

Weeks after the announcement, the singer publicly introduced Natasha Osawaru as his new partner.

Following the separation announcement, Annie removed “Idibia” from her social media name before later restoring it.

The couple married in 2012 and share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Throughout their 13-year relationship, they faced significant public attention and personal challenges. Annie is currently responsible for the custody of their children.
