Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Head of Service, Inyingi S. I. Brown.
According to the statement, the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Vincent Worgu Wachukwu, Cordelia Uwuma Eke, Ifeanyi Anthony Ogboma, Mina Gogo Jim-Jaja, and Henry Uzor.
The statement further disclosed that the appointees are scheduled to be sworn in by Governor Fubara on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The appointments are part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the administrative structure and enhance efficiency within the Rivers State Civil Service.
It would be recalled that in June 2025, the former Sole Administrator of the state, retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, also appointed eleven Permanent Secretaries as part of measures to reinforce the state’s public service system.
