The Accord Party in Osun State has confirmed the successful uploading of Governor Ademola Adeleke as its duly nominated candidate for the August 8, 2026 governorship election.
The party disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday in Osogbo by its Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, following the completion of documentation and submission processes with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to Akande, INEC’s records now list Governor Adeleke as the Accord Party’s candidate for the forthcoming governorship poll, describing the development as a major milestone in the party’s election preparations.
He said the confirmation effectively addressed concerns surrounding the party’s nomination process ahead of the 2026 election, noting that it affirmed the party’s compliance with electoral guidelines and procedures.
Akande also expressed appreciation for the support received from party members and residents across Osun State since preparations for the election began, describing the backing as encouraging.
The Accord chairman urged party supporters and eligible voters to remain focused and engaged in the electoral process, calling on residents of voting age to ensure they are properly registered with INEC and have obtained their Permanent Voter Cards ahead of the August 8, 2026 election.
