JUST IN: Residents scoop fuel as petrol tanker overturns on Lagos bridge

A tanker truck overturned on the Tincan Liverpool Bridge in the Apapa district of Lagos, raising serious safety concerns. Residents and passersby began collecting spilled fuel at the scene.

The tanker reportedly lost control and overturned early Monday morning during rush hour, spilling fuel under the bridge.

At the time of publication, traffic control and emergency services had not yet arrived, leaving the area unsecured.

Eyewitnesses reported that a large crowd gathered shortly after the accident. Despite the obvious risk of fire and explosion, people collected the spilled fuel using jerrycans and other containers.
