A Nigerian-Canada–based activist, Jimmy Jaf, has claimed that the Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre in Toronto, allegedly linked to controversial Nigerian pastor Chris Okafor, has been shut down by Canadian authorities.
Jimmy Jaf made the claim in a video shared on his TikTok page on Thursday, alleging that the ministry has been dissolved in Canada and is no longer permitted to operate.
According to the activist, the reported dissolution of the church should prompt Canadian immigration authorities to review the immigration status of Pastor David Igbanor, also known as Bashiru Igbanor. He claimed that the pastor’s work permit was tied to the now-defunct ministry and argued that he should no longer be allowed to remain in the country.
“This church has been dissolved and can no longer operate in Canada,” Jimmy Jaf alleged, adding that Nigerians in Canada would not tolerate what he described as the activities of fake pastors.
The claims come amid ongoing controversy surrounding Pastor Chris Okafor and Nollywood actress Doris Ogala, which has continued to generate public attention in recent weeks.
As of the time of filing this report, neither Pastor Chris Okafor nor the Greater Liberation City International Ministry Centre has issued an official response to the allegations, and there has been no independent confirmation from Canadian authorities regarding the reported shutdown.
