The Federal Government has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the Christmas celebration, describing the season as one of love, sacrifice, and hope.
In a statement signed by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, the government said the values of Christmas serve as a reminder for Nigerians to care for one another, remain united, and keep faith in the country despite prevailing challenges.
“These values remind us to care for one another, remain united, and keep faith in our country, even in challenging times,” the statement said.
The Federal Government assured citizens that the patience, resilience, and hard work of Nigerians would not be taken for granted, adding that the efforts and sacrifices of the people would not be in vain.
According to the statement, the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains committed to building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Nigeria for all citizens.
The government also urged Nigerians to remember those facing hardship during the festive season and to pray for families affected by acts of terror. It called for special recognition of security personnel who continue to defend lives, property, and the nation against various threats.
“As we celebrate, let us remember those facing difficulties and have a special place in our hearts for our security personnel, who continue to defend our lives, property, and homeland,” the statement added.
The Federal Government further encouraged Nigerians to use the Christmas season to promote peace, kindness, and unity within their homes and communities.
