Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered the removal of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), from the courtroom following a heated outburst during proceedings.

Trouble began after the judge dismissed three fresh motions filed by Kanu, describing them as lacking merit. As the court prepared to proceed with the ruling earlier slated for the day, Kanu objected, insisting that the matter could not continue because he had not filed his final written address.

Kanu, raising his voice, accused the judge of bias and claimed that the court lacked a proper understanding of the law. His outburst prompted Justice Omotosho to direct security operatives to remove him from the courtroom to restore order.

Kanu was immediately escorted out, while Justice Omotosho continued preparations to deliver the final judgment in the case.
