Amid the rising insecurity in Plateau State, Governor Caleb Mutfwang, has banned night grazing and transportation of cattle by vehicle in the state after 7 p.m effective today.

Governor Mutfwang announced this in a state broadcast this morning  following the killings of  51 people, including women, children, and the elderly  in the latest attacks on Kwall District in Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

In a state broadcast on Wednesday, Mutfwang described the attacks as “coordinated acts of terror” aimed at displacing residents and undermining their right to exist peacefully on their ancestral lands.

He said the directives take immediate effect, with the restriction on motorcycle use in place from 7pm to 6am across the state until further notice.

He vowed that the killers and their sponsors responsible for the attacks in the communities and other parts of the state will not go unpunished.
