Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, commiserate with Eno over wife’s death

Condolences have continued to pour in for the Akwa Ibom State government following the demise of its First Lady, Patience Umo Eno.

President Bola Tinubu, in a statement by his Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, said Mrs. Eno’s selfless service to improve the lives of women, children, and the vulnerable will forever remain an important part of Akwa Ibom’s history.

Similarly, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, who described the loss as a deeply painful one said the deceased’s kindness, humility, and dedication to her people will continue to linger.

The Southern Governors’ Forum also joined others in paying tributes to the Akwa Ibom Governor, describing the late Pastor Eno as a remarkable woman who was the pillar behind her husband’s success in both the private and public sectors.

Also, the Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Yahaya conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the government and the people of Akwa Ibom State during this period of immense grief.

On his part Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, While commiserating with Eno, urged his colleague to take heart and take it in good faith, having solace in the fact that the First Lady of Akwa Ibom lived a fulfilled life, made positive impact, and left a lasting legacy.

Mrs. Patience Eno passed away peacefully at the hospital on Thursday in the presence of her family, following a brief illness.
