Pope Francis has expressed concerns over the increasing abductions in Nigeria.
The Pope in a message posted on X said he is praying and hoping that efforts would be made to subdue the incidents.
The head of the catholic church world wide expresses his closeness in prayer to the Nigerian people, hoping that efforts will be made to contain the spread of these incidents as much as possible.
His comment comes on the heels of the rising cases of kidnapping in several parts of Nigeria.
Suspected bandits have been on rampage, kidnapping people for ransom in many parts of the country.
Some others have also been killed by the abductors.
