In a statement issued on Tuesday, Adelabu described the outcome of the congress as a reflection of the APC’s commitment to internal democracy, resilience, and strategic repositioning ahead of future elections in Oyo State.
He said the emergence of the new executives comes at a crucial time in the party’s journey and urged them to prioritise unity, inclusiveness, and grassroots strengthening across wards and local governments.
Adelabu expressed confidence in the leadership capacity and experience of Chief Alake Adeyemo and his team, noting that they are well-positioned to consolidate the party’s base, promote reconciliation, and rebuild trust among members.
He further called on party leaders and stakeholders to close ranks in preparation for the 2027 general elections, stressing that cohesion, transparency, and sustained grassroots engagement would be key to electoral success.
Reaffirming his commitment, the Minister assured the new leadership of his full support in advancing the APC’s ideals and enhancing its political relevance in Oyo State. He concluded by wishing the executive committee a peaceful and productive tenure focused on unity, progress, and service to the party and the people.
