Singer Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has become the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria, further cementing his dominance in the country’s digital music space.

The milestone was announced as Spotify marked its fifth anniversary in Nigeria, with the streaming platform unveiling its top five most-streamed artists in the country since launch. Asake leads the chart, followed by Wizkid in second place and Seyi Vibez in third. Burna Boy secured the fourth spot, while Davido rounded out the top five.

Beyond topping the artists’ ranking, Asake also dominates the songs category. His track ‘Remember’ holds the number one position among the most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify Nigeria. The second spot is occupied by ‘Dealer’ by Ayo Maff and Fireboy DML, while ‘Awolowo’ by Fido comes in third. Wizkid’s ‘Kese’ ranks fourth, and Asake appears again in fifth place with his hit ‘Lonely At The Top.’

Nigerian artists also continue to make a strong impact beyond the country’s borders. On Spotify Kenya, Nigerian songs dominate the all-time streaming chart. Ruger’s ‘Asiwaju’ leads the list, followed by Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’ in second place. Fireboy DML’s ‘Bandana’ ranks third, while Kenyan singer Bien claims the fourth spot with ‘Inauma.’ Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ completes the top five.

In Ghana, the trend of Nigerian dominance remains evident. ‘Wotowoto Seasoning’ by Odumodublvck featuring Ghanaian star Black Sherif tops the list of the most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify Ghana. Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ ranks second, while the third, fourth, and fifth positions are occupied by songs from Black Sherif.

The latest rankings highlight the growing global influence of Nigerian music and the continued rise of Afrobeats across Africa. Asake’s consistent performance across multiple markets underscores his strong fan base and the widespread appeal of his sound in the streaming era.
