A newly completed motor park named after Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is set to be officially opened in Ebute Metta, Lagos.
The facility, known as the Lagos State Council Motor Park, includes the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Motor Park and an Emergency Unit designed to provide support services for members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). It is located along Atitebi, Apapa Road.
The Lagos State NURTW Chairman, Mustapha Adekunle, popularly known as Sego, is leading the opening arrangements. The motor park will be commissioned by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The project is expected to improve transport coordination and provide emergency assistance for transport workers operating within the area. The commissioning will officially bring the facility into operation and reflects continued collaboration between the Lagos State Government and transport stakeholders.
The naming of the motor park after President Tinubu adds to a number of public infrastructure projects dedicated in his honour since he assumed office in May 2023.
