President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved key appointments in Nigeria’s energy and technology sectors. Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael has been named Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), while Hon. Magaji Da’u Aliyu has been appointed Managing Director of the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO) in Abuja.
SHESTCO is a federal research institution responsible for technological research and development, including the operation of a nuclear research facility.
In addition to the NEMSA CEO appointment, President Tinubu approved other members of the agency’s board. They include Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez as Executive Director (Technical), Ikechi Clara Nwosu (Chairman, South East), Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris, Igba Elizabeth (North Central), Sani Alhaji Shehu (North East), Adeyemi Adetunji (South West), Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe (South South), and Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa (South East).
President Tinubu also nominated Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Muktar, representing Kaduna State, as commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC). Their appointments have been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.
The appointments reflect the administration’s focus on strengthening institutional leadership in critical sectors, including electricity management, scientific research, and fiscal administration.
