President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has ordered the highest-ranking national security officials to track down and arrest the perpetrators of the terrorist attack carried out at the Kasuwan Daji market in Niger State.
This directive concerns the Minister of Defense, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, the Chiefs of Staff of the various armed forces, the Inspector General of Police, and the Director General of the State Security Services (DSS).
The president’s order refers to a terrorist attack against a village market in the Kabe district, in the Borgu local government zone, where approximately 40 people were killed. Several others were also taken hostage during the attack.
President Tinubu also ordered the security forces to immediately release all those held captive by the attackers.
The President condemned the incident and declared that the attack represented a direct lack of resolve on the part of the nation and a promise that those responsible would be punished with the full force of the law.
“These terrorists are at the forefront of the decision for our people and their people.” They must respond to their actions until they are vindicated. “What they say and what their intentions are, that’s what they are.” These are the aid or assistance measures that must be taken in such a way that they are also translated into justice.
The President signed the commitment within the security and insurance register, on behalf of the authorities responsible for guaranteeing their actions.
