The Janaza (Islamic funeral prayer) for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, close associates of former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.
The funeral service is scheduled to begin at 10:00am at the London Central Mosque on Park Road, London. Family members, friends, and members of the boxing community are expected to attend to pay their final respects.
The bodies of Ghami and Ayodele were repatriated to the United Kingdom following a fatal road accident in Nigeria late last year. Both men died after the vehicle conveying them, a Lexus SUV carrying Anthony Joshua, was involved in a collision with a stationary truck along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, popularly known as “Latz” and serving as his personal trainer, died at the scene of the crash. Anthony Joshua, who was also in the vehicle, survived the accident with minor injuries.
The London funeral will provide an opportunity for loved ones and the wider sporting community to honour the lives and contributions of the two men, whose deaths have been widely mourned within and beyond the boxing world.
