World-renowned boxer Anthony Joshua was on Tuesday involved in a road accident in the Makun area of Ogun State.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred along a busy stretch of the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway when a Lexus SUV conveying the boxer reportedly collided with a stationary truck. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
According to accounts from the scene, Joshua sustained minor injuries in the accident, while two other persons were confirmed dead on the spot.
The crash was said to have happened near a filling station in the area, prompting an emergency response and rescue efforts by passersby and officials.
Following reports of the incident, fans and well-wishers have taken to social media to express concern over the boxer’s safety.
