Nollywood actor Jamiu Azeez has publicly apologised to his senior colleague, Opeyemi Aiyeola, expressing remorse over his past actions and appealing for her forgiveness.
In an emotional message shared on Instagram, Azeez described Aiyeola as a mother figure, sister, confidant, and benefactor, acknowledging that he caused her deep pain. He said the apology was a sincere and open admission of wrongdoing, accompanied by regret over the hurt he inflicted.
The actor emphasised Aiyeola’s importance in his life, noting that her influence and support were deeply woven into his personal and professional journey. He said he could not tell his life story without prominently mentioning her role.
Azeez admitted that he acted immaturely and expressed sorrow over his behaviour, saying he deeply missed their relationship. He questioned who would fill the various roles Aiyeola had played in his life, including being a mentor, supporter, and source of guidance.
“I miss you so much. I miss us,” he wrote, pleading for forgiveness and expressing hope for reconciliation.
The public apology has since drawn attention from fans and colleagues, many of whom have reacted to the emotional appeal shared on social media.
