President Bola Tinubu has praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, describing him as an audacious top performer and a shining star in his cabinet who consistently delivers results despite challenges.
The President made the remarks while felicitating with the FCT Minister on his 58th birthday, celebrated on Friday, December 13.
Tinubu thanked God for Wike’s life, describing it as one marked by purpose, service, and courage. He acknowledged the Minister’s role in the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory, particularly through extensive infrastructure development.
The President highlighted Wike’s recent intervention that ended a 14-year delay in the construction of the Apo–Karshi road, describing it as a major milestone in improving connectivity within the capital.
Commending the Minister’s resilience and “can-do” attitude, Tinubu said Wike has demonstrated consistency in delivering on assigned responsibilities and a strong commitment to excellence.
He applauded the FCT Minister’s dedication to results-driven governance and wished him continued strength to sustain the pace of development in the nation’s capital.
President Tinubu added that Wike’s performance has reinforced his reputation as “Mr Project,” noting that his impact in the Federal Capital Territory mirrors the infrastructure legacy he built during his time as governor of Rivers State.
