The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Osun State chapter, has announced a temporary suspension of its ongoing strike to enable staff of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to attend a scheduled meeting with commission officials.

The union disclosed the development in a statement signed by its chairman, Comrade Idris Adedayo Adeniran. The suspension, which is subject to approval by the JUSUN Congress and the national leadership, will run from December 11 to 24, 2025.

According to the statement, the meeting is slated for December 11 at the Conference Room of the High Court of Justice in Osogbo and will focus on JUSUN’s demands relating to staff promotion and welfare.

JUSUN confirmed that the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Adepele Bola Ojo, has agreed to reconvene discussions with the Judicial Service Commission to address the issues raised by judiciary workers. The union expressed confidence that the commission, as the body responsible for justice administration in the state, will give due consideration to the concerns presented.

“We appreciate the commitment of the Honourable Chief Judge to engage with the JSC on our behalf and look forward to a positive outcome,” the statement said.

The union reiterated that its demands are legitimate, reasonable and long overdue, adding that members remain determined to pursue them to resolution. The chairman also thanked members for their steadfast support and loyalty throughout the industrial action.

Osun JUSUN has been on strike since September 22, 2025, following a disagreement with the state Chief Judge.
