The Oyo State Government has raised a high-level security alert following intelligence reports indicating that a wanted militia leader known as “Boyi Actor” has been sighted in Saki, a strategic border town in the Oke-Ogun axis.
According to an internal memo dated November 23, 2025, the alarm was issued by the Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Security, CP Odukoya Sunday Babatunde (Rtd.), after a briefing from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command.
Security sources disclosed that the suspect, who is on the wanted list of Ogun State and several other states due to his alleged involvement in violent criminal activities, was observed moving within Saki in a black, tinted vehicle. Details of the car’s make and model were still being awaited at the time of the report.
The intelligence suggests that his presence may be part of a coordinated effort to facilitate the movement of his associates from Niger, Kwara and Kaduna States, raising fears about possible infiltration or planned attacks.
In response, Babatunde directed the NSCDC and all other security agencies in the state to immediately intensify surveillance and secure all major entry and exit routes. He instructed operatives to activate heightened stop-and-search operations, increase visibility patrols, and reinforce intelligence gathering across vulnerable communities.
The memo identified several priority areas where security must be strengthened urgently, including the Governor’s Office and Government House, ministries and state installations, schools at all levels, religious centres, recreation hubs, banks, transport terminals, markets, and all security formations.
The warning comes amid renewed concerns about cross-border criminal activity in Oke-Ogun, a zone that shares boundaries with multiple states and has previously recorded cases of infiltration by armed groups.
Security agencies across Oyo State have since been placed on alert as efforts intensify to track the suspect’s movement and prevent any threat to public safety.
