Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, celebrated his 33rd birthday on Thursday with an intimate gathering of family members, close friends, and key figures from his 30BG team in Atlanta, United States.
The private celebration was attended by his billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke; Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke; his sister, Sharon; cousins Nike and Folashade; his wife, Chioma Adeleke; his manager, Asa; and longtime associate DJ ECool. The warm atmosphere was filled with music, emotional toasts, and moments that captured the strong bond within the Adeleke family.
The birthday event came just hours before Davido’s highly anticipated sold-out concert at the 21,000-capacity State Farm Arena, part of his ongoing 5ive Alive Tour. Videos from the gathering showed the singer at the center of the celebration, surrounded by loved ones.
While addressing his guests, Davido reflected on his journey from releasing his first single at age 17 to becoming one of Africa’s most influential music stars. He described the past year as one of the most fulfilling of his life, citing his marriage to Chioma and the birth of their twins as major milestones.
“This year is one of my best years ever. I got married to the most beautiful woman, and we had our babies,” he said, expressing gratitude for his personal and professional growth.
Davido also hinted at the progress of his sixth studio album, coming just seven months after releasing his fifth project, 5ive, on April 18.
