Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu will on Friday inaugurate 233 new housing units at the Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate in Ajah, along the Lekki–Epe Expressway.

The Commissioner for Housing, Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday, noting that the project will help expand housing options for Lagos residents seeking quality accommodation.

According to the ministry, the new estate comprises 34 blocks containing 233 units and was delivered through a public-private partnership between the Lagos State Government and Urban Shelter Ltd.

Akinderu-Fatai reaffirmed the state’s commitment to increasing access to affordable housing, adding that the administration is focused on completing all ongoing housing projects across Lagos.

The project sits on 3.7 hectares within the larger Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate, originally commissioned in 2001 during the administration of then-Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Sanwo-Olu has continued to expand the state’s housing stock, having previously commissioned 420 units at the Akinsanya Sunny Ajose Housing Estate in Ajara in October 2025.
