Zamfara Government Reinstates 103 Teachers, Approves Payment of Seven-Month Salary Arrears

The Zamfara State Government has reinstated 103 teachers who were removed from the state payroll about seven months ago.

The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mallam Wadatau Madawaki, announced the decision in Gusau, explaining that the teachers were among several civil servants affected by a verification exercise conducted earlier in the year.

According to Madawaki, the reinstated teachers were cleared after a fresh screening confirmed that their removal was due to administrative errors. He added that Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the payment of their outstanding salaries covering January to July 2025.

The commissioner noted that the verification exercise was part of efforts to ensure transparency and efficiency in the state’s workforce. He urged the reinstated teachers to remain committed to their responsibilities and contribute meaningfully to improving education standards across Zamfara State.
