Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has announced a 21-player squad for Nigeria’s 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifying clash with Benin Republic.

Madugu retained several key players from his regular lineup, including team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, Asisat Oshoala, Esther Okoronkwo, Michelle Alozie, and Osinachi Ohale.

Also returning to the squad are Ashleigh Plumptre, Chiamaka Nnadozie, and Oluwatosin Demehin, all of whom played vital roles in Nigeria’s recent international outings.

The first leg of the qualifier will take place at the Stade Kégué in Lomé, Togo, on Saturday, October 25, while the return leg will be held at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

The aggregate winner over both legs will secure a place at the 2026 WAFCON finals to be hosted by Morocco in March 2026.

The upcoming tournament will also double as Africa’s qualifying competition for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by Brazil.
