As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu has called on all citizens to renew their commitment to building the nation of their dreams. In her goodwill message on Wednesday, she emphasized that every act of service to the country counts—and no sacrifice will be in vain.

“Let us all play our part to build the Nigeria we all want to see. Your sacrifice will never be in vain. Happy 65th Independence Anniversary. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she said.

Senator Tinubu highlighted the importance of patriotism, unity, and personal responsibility in national development. Drawing inspiration from global leaders, she quoted former U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s famous call to action: “Ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country.”

She urged Nigerians not to see the independence celebration merely as a time to reflect on the past, but as an opportunity to recommit to the collective effort of building a stronger, more prosperous nation.

“This moment is not just about looking back, but about looking ahead with renewed hope and dedication,” the First Lady stated.

Her message comes as the country faces numerous challenges, from economic pressures to security concerns. Still, the First Lady believes that with unity and shared responsibility, Nigeria can rise to fulfill its potential.
