Makinde leads 4,050 delegates to elect PDP Oyo exco

Oyo governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, is leading other 4,050 delegates to elect the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Executive Council, Oyo, ahead of the November Convention of the party scheduled to hold in Ibadan.

The state congress is taking place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan, with delegate accreditation being coordinated by the Electoral Committee, chaired by Senator Austin Akobundu.

Security operatives, including Director of State Services, National Security, and Civil Defence Corps, and other security agencies, are strategically positioned to prevent breakdown of law and order.

Senator Akobundu noted that the large turnout of party members reflects the strong acceptance and popularity of the PDP across the state.

He further assured delegates that the electoral process would be transparent, free, and credible.

As of the time of this report, accreditation of delegates is underway, with Ibadan Southwest Local Government leading the process.
