The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Hon. Ayo Omidiran as Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC).
The monarch also expressed gratitude to the President for the appointment of Mr. Eludayo Eluyemi as the Federal Commissioner representing Osun State at the Commission.
A statement issued by the Ooni’s Palace on Wednesday in Ile-Ife, said the appointment was a recognition of their competence, dedication and years of selfless service to the nation.
He said the duo would bring their wealth of experience, integrity, and commitment to national unity to discharge the commission’s mandate of ensuring fairness, equity and inclusivity in public service structure.
“Omidiran’s track record of legislative service and grassroots development, coupled with Eluyemi’s dedication to public administration, leaves no doubt that they will uphold the principles of fairness and national cohesion that the commission represents,” Ooni noted.
He urged the appointees to see their roles not only as a call to service for the people of the state, but as a sacred responsibility to the entire nation.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Omidiran, a former member of the House of Representatives, hails from Ikire in Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.
