The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has said he will not delay the filling of any vacant position in the Olubadan chieftaincy line.
He made this commitment while receiving the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his Lagos residence.
“There would be no delay in filling every pending vacancy in the Olubadan chieftaincy line,” he said, according to a statement by his spokesman, Adeola Oloko, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Reflecting on the passing of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Oba Ladoja expressed his condolences, noting that he was not in Ibadan at the time of the monarch’s death on July 7, 2025.
He praised the late ruler for living an impactful life and leaving behind a legacy of honorable service, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul and for comfort for his family.
Earlier, the Asipa Olubadan, Oba Kola Daisi, condoled Kabiyesi Olubadan-Designate over the exit of the 43rd Olubadan. He also congratulated Oba Ladoja on his emergence as the next Olubadan, pledging his loyalty and support for him in his efforts to make life more abundant for the people of Ibadan.
