President Bola Tinubu has conferred national honours of Officer of the Order of the Niger on the Super Falcons following their victory at WAFCON.

He also announced the award of the naira equivalence of $100,000 to each to the 24 players, and the naira equivalence of $50,000 to the technical team.

In addition, the President gave each of the players three-bedroom apartments.

The President while receiving the players and the technical team at the Villa on Monday commended them for their “indomitable spirit of resilience, determination and courage”, saying the victory couldn’t have been more historic.

The Super Falcons of Nigeria returned to the country on Monday afternoon following their triumph at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where they secured their 10th continental title.

On arrival, Super Falcons captain, Rasheedat Ajibade, was seen raising the WAFCON trophy high as she alighted from the aircraft, symbolising the team’s victorious homecoming.
