Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State has been discharged after being involved in a minor road accident yesterday evening along the Daura–Katsina road.
This was confirmed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, who noted that Radda is in good health and high spirits.
According to Mohammed, the accident was minor and the governor’s condition was stable.
“Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident this evening along the Daura – Katsina Road, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State.”
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained.
“As a precautionary measure, the Governor is currently receiving routine medical evaluation at a medical facility, where he is being attended to by qualified medical professionals.
“Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
The Commisioner for Information in the State, Bala Zongo who shed more light on the incident, in an interview today, said the Governor only sustained minor injuries.
Since the death of the late President exactly a week ago, Radda has made several visits to Daura.
Radda trended during the burial of Buhari as he could not fight back tears when the military was honouring Buhari shortly before his remains were lowered.
