NIMET FORECASTS 3-DAY SUNSHINE, HAZINESS

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has forecast sunshine and haziness across the country from today till Sunday.

In a weather outlook it released, NiMet noted that later during the afternoon/evening hours of today, thunderstorms are expected over parts of Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Rivers state, among others.

The agency advised members of the public to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and avoid undue exposure to direct sunlight.

It also urged people with respiratory issues, especially in the northern parts of the country to be cautious of the weather condition and take necessary precautions.

Airline operators are advised to get airport-specific weather reports (flight documentation) from NiMet for effective planning.
