The Oyo State Government has approved the appointment of three new Executive Secretaries for the State Universal Basic Education Board.
The board’s chairman, Nureni Adeniran, announced this during a meeting with Administrative Officers of all Local Government Universal Basic Education Authorities, held at the board’s headquarters in Ibadan, the state capital.
He stated that the new appointees—Kemi Adeosun, Adebola Ayegboyin, and Raji Fatai—were appointed by Governor Seyi Makinde to oversee the three senatorial zones under the board.
Adeniran described them as accomplished educationists and advocates of good governance, noting that they were selected after passing the required examinations alongside the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries.
“The new appointees are experts in the education sector and have served in various capacities within the system,” he said.
He further stated that the new secretaries would work closely with the board and the substantive Executive Secretary, Olaide Ladipo, based at the headquarters.
Adeniran urged them to uphold transparency and efficiency in their respective zones to enhance the quality of basic education in the state.
