GOVERNOR SEYI MAKINDE’S BROTHER LAID TO REST

Dignitaries, state governors and political associates, religious leaders, traditional rulers and well wishers from within and outside the state today joined the family of the Oyo State Governor as they laid their elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde to rest.

In his message during the funeral service held at Bishop Akinyele Memorial Anglican Church, Iwo Road, Ibadan, The Most Rev. Dr. Williams Aladekugbe called on Christians not to see death as the end of life but the beginning of the transition into a fuller life with Christ.

Governor Seyi Makinde, in his remarks, described his brother as one who lived selflessly, with legacies of truth without compromise, forgiveness without holding back and transparency in his dealings with all.

The body of Engr. Sunday Makinde who passed away on January 24, 2025, was later interred at Eternal Home, lbadan-Oyo Road.

The Funeral Thanksgiving Service will be held at the Cathedral of St Peters, Aremo, lbadan On Sunday, 9th February, by 10 a.m.
