More prominent Nigerians have been visiting Governor Seyi Makinde over the loss of his elder brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde who passed away on the 24th of January, 2025.
Among the latest callers at the residence of the Governor are President of the African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau, Senior Special Assistant to the president on Livestock Development, Mr Idris Ajimobi, among others.
In his remarks at the Ibadan residence of the Governor, Dr. Adesina said AfDB as a partner to the state, commiserates with Governor Makinde and his family, as he prayed for strength and fortitude for them to bear the loss of their loved one.
Also while on his condolence visit, the NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau sympathized with the Makinde family and prayed for comfort for them.
Gusau also used the visit to inform the Oyo State Governor about recent developments being worked on by the Federation to improve sporting activities in the country.
Meanwhile, the burial ceremony for the late Engr. Sunday Makinde has been scheduled for Thursday, February 6, and Friday February 7, 2025.
