An Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has granted 10 million Naira bail each to former Queen of the Ooni of Ife, Naomi Silekunola, Ibadan-based media personality, Oriyomi Hamzat and Principal of Islamic High School, Basorun, Abdulahi Fasasi.

Justice Kamorudeen Olawoyin gave the ruling following a bail application filed by the Counsels of the trio.

The judge directed that the defendants must submit their international passports to the court and must not grant any press interview during the trial.

The trio was being prosecuted over the deaths of 35 children during a stampede at a planned children funfair programme on Dec. 18, 2024, at Islamic High School, Orita Basorun, Ibadan.
