The House of Representatives has shifted its resumption date by one week.

This follows a rescheduling from the original date of September 17, 2024, as communicated to the members via an internal memo by the Clerk of the House, Dr Yahaya Danzaria, on Wednesday.

A statement issued by the House spokesman, Akin Rotimi, noted that during the recess, lawmakers carried out outreach programmes peculiar to their constituencies.

Rotimi further revealed that when the House reconvenes, it will inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission, and the Joint Senate/House Ad Hoc Committees on the Petroleum Industry Investigation on September 25.

The reason for the shift in the date of resumption is, however unknown.
