The Nigerian Army has released Prince Clement Ogenerukevwe, the monarch declared wanted over the killing of 17 military personnel in Okuama, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The Spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Onyema Nwachukwu, who disclosed this today, said although no one has been exonerated from the incident, the Army decided to release the monarch after intervention of highly-placed personalities in the society and a painstaking review.
It will be recalled that the monarch, whom the incident happened in his domain submitted himself to the police, who in turn handed him to the Army.
The Oyo State Government said the demolition of a building believed to be the hideout of Yoruba Nation agitators in Ibadan, the state capital, was based on a court order.
