SECURITY BEEFED UP FOLLOWING AGITATORS’ INVASION OF AGODI GOVT.SECRETARIAT

Security has been beefed up following the invasion of masked uniformed men at the Oyo State Government Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan over the weekend.

A combined team of security operatives has been stationed at the two major entrances leading to the state Secretariat Agodi Ibadan .

People are being thoroughly searched before they could gain entry to the secretariat complex, while the liberty flyover bridge leading to the state secretariat was locked.

People who have no genuine reason to be in the secretariat are turned back at the gate.

Meanwhile,the state government has described the invasion as an act of terrorism.

A government statement said the agitators and their sponsors have landed themselves in trouble.

The statement signed by the commissioner for information and orientation,Prince Dotun Oyelade noted that Oyo state remains the most peaceful state in Nigeria and Saturday’s incident cannot take away that popular belief.
