Security agencies are intensifing effort to rescue students kidnapped at their school in Kuriga, Chikin Local Government Area of Kaduna state on thursday
Unspecified numbers of students and staffs were kidnapped from their school LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School, Kuriga in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
President Bola Tinubu has ordered security agencies to rescue the students and track down their abductors.
Meanwhile,Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has pledged to get back all the students abducted by the bandits.
The governor gave the assurance when he visited the community to commiserate with the people over the incident.
Governor Sani said that the total number of those kidnapped from the 2 schools— LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School, kuriga has not been ascertained,
There have been conflicting figures of actual numbers of students kidnapped from the schools.
While some reports put the number at more than 280 students, others put indicates that the figures could be higher than 300.
The governor assures that the government is working with the school management and the community to get the actual number.
He further said that he has received assurances of support from President Bola Tinubu and the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, to get the students back home safely.
