President Bola Tinubu has applauded the Super Eagles for their performance and tenacity at the just-concluded 2023 CAF African Cup of Nations (AfCON) in Côte d’Ivoire .
This was revealed in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, He encouraged Nigerians to be of good cheer despite the loss, noting that the Eagles’ grit and sheer determination throughout the tournament had won the hearts of Africa and the entire world.
Similarly, the House of Representatives has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria for clinching the silver prize at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations for the fifth time.
The spokesman for the House, Akin Rotimi , in a statement on Monday, said that the lawmakers celebrate the players and the coaching crew for their spirited display during the match, adding that the achievement of the Super Eagles would inspire not just the multitude of sports talents across the country but others in their spheres of influence to do more for their fatherland.
Rotimi expressed his will to continue to support programmes and policies that promote sports and youth development.
